July 29, 1939 - April 22, 2011

According to Jim’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and there will be no services or visitation. OBITUARY:James Ellsworth “Jim” Rohrmoser, aged 71 of Scottville passed away on Friday, April 22, 2011 at Memorial Medical Center in Ludington after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Jim was born on July 29, 1939 in Scottville to Frank and Mary Josephine (Holmes) Rohrmoser, and attended Scottville High School. He served his country by enlisting with the United States Air Force following the Korean Conflict, and upon his discharge from service, returned home and began working for Motyka Metal Products in Ludington. He also helped his father Frank in his small engine repair shop fixing lawnmowers and chain saws. After his father passed, Jim continued to operate the repair shop.On January 20, 1962, he was married to Martha Joan Lilleberg in Ludington by Rev. John Christensen, and they have celebrated 49 years together. Jim later began working for Great Lakes Casting Corp., where he became a foreman and an “Ironmaster,” retiring after 30 years of service at the age of 55. He enjoyed deer and small game hunting, watching sports on T.V., playing pool on his league team, and spending time with his family and friends. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, his half-sister Geraldine “Geri” Rohrmoser, and his half-brother Harold “Bud” Rohrmoser. He will be greatly missed by his wife Martha; his daughter Renee Bailey and her husband William of Ludington; his beloved grand-dog Mocha; and several nieces and nephews. Those who wish to make a memorial contribution are asked to consider the American Cancer Society, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
