Warren Lee Engelberg

July 24, 1957 - January 10, 2013

WARREN'S OBITUARY:Warren Lee Engelberg, 55, of Custer, died unexpectedly of natural causes Thursday, Jan. 10. He is survived by his mother, Martha Sanders of Custer; stepmother Lee Engelberg of Niles; brothers Walter of Custer, Ron of Niles, and Ben (Collette) of Williamston, South Carolina; sister Melanie Ross of Beaufort, North Carolina; sons Kyle and Keaun of Niles; three grandchildren; Uncle Ron and Aunt Donna Sanders of Ludington, Aunt Madelyn Engelberg of Custer; Godmother Mrs. Richard (Wilma) Keson of Ludington; dear cousin Sue (Mac) Shealy of Charleston, South Carolina; and special friend Shirley Gunnett of Scottville. He was preceded in death by his father, Walt Engelberg, Niles; grandparents Orval and Marguerite Sanders and Frank and Jennie Engelberg of Custer. On returning to Mason County from Niles, Warren had been employed by Midas of Ludington and Sanders Meats of Custer. He served as a volunteer for HELP Ministry of Ludington. Warren enjoyed visiting with family and friends and his newfound gift of sobriety. He had a kind and generous soul and always tried to help others.Funeral services for Warren will take place at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15 at Stephens Funeral Home in Scottville. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14 at the funeral home.In lieu of flowers, please consider HELP Ministry of Ludington or the Victim’s Services Unit of the Mason County Sheriff’s Office.
