When Tony was coming to St. Bartholomew' Church in Newaygo, Fr. Ron could not find out if he was ever baptized so he baptized him and I was his Godmother. That was years ago and from then on I always brought him presents for Christmas and his birthday, He always let me know if I did not get it to him on the day. He was very good with remembering dates and he always told me my birthday (Jan, 4. 1936) every time I went to see him. I kept track of him on his moves and then to the nursing home in Fremont. I will have a Mass said for him at St. Bartholomews in Newaygo. He always called me his Godmother. Shirley Poll,.
