Barbara Mae Ulrich's Obituary
Barbara Mae (Allison) Ulrich aged 77 passed away with family by her side on Monday, November 11, 2024. Barbara was born on February 26, 1947 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of James Eugene and Irene (Parsons) Allison and graduated from Vicksburg High School with the class of 1967. Barbara was first wed to Clark Motter and together they raised their sons David and Clark Motter. She later married David Ulrich and moved to Branch, Michigan where David preceded her in death in 2021. Barbara was also preceded in death by her parents James and Irene, her son David J. Motter, and her sister Cheryl Allison Swihart along with her first husband Clark Motter.
Barbara loved living in the Branch area where she could enjoy watching the wildlife that visited their property, especially the hummingbirds. She relished her ventures to the casino with her family and friends and enjoyed spending time with her husband David hunting on their property. Barbara was a great cook and would watch different cooking shows to learn new techniques and recipes to share with her loved ones.
Barbara will be greatly missed by her son Clark D. Motter; her brother Bob (Sharon) Allison of Vicksburg; her sister Jean Allison (Kit) Dahl of Portage; her stepson and daughter Warren Ulrich and Wendy Ulrich of Hastings; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great, great nieces and nephews; and numerous cousins.
A time to celebrate and honor Barbara’s life will be held next spring at her home with date and time to be announced later.
