Bill's Obituary:Bill C. Paszek, aged 88 of Irons, passed away on Friday, February 17, 2012 at Great Lakes Specialty Hospital in Muskegon. Bill was born on March 7, 1923 in Hamtramck to Albert W. and Stella (Peszczynska) Paszek, and served his country with the United States Coast Guard during World War II. He was a retiree of Chrysler Corporation, after 37 years of service as a machinist, and moved to his hunting cabin in Irons following his retirement. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, his 1st wife Dora of whom he was married for 38 years, and his 2nd wife Phyllis whom he was married to for 14 years, his brothers Max and Edward Paszek, and his sisters Jennie Jezewski, Mary Ciurla, and Angeline Gieraltowski. Bill was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church in Irons, and enjoyed woodworking, hunting, and feeding the wildlife that frequented his yard. He will be lovingly remembered by his 8 nieces, 2 nephews, many great nieces and nephews, and a host of good friends. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Bill at 11:00 am on Saturday, Feb. 25 at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Irons with Rev. Dennis O’Donnell as celebrant. Burial will take place at Eden Township Cemetery in Irons in the spring. Friends may meet with his family for a time of visitation on Friday evening from 5:00 – 8:00 pm at the church. A Prayer Service will also be held for Bill on Friday evening at 7:30 pm at the church. Those who wish to make a memorial contribution are asked to consider St. Bernard Catholic Church, or the Eden/Elk/Sauble Fire Department.
