Bonnie Mae Garvey's Obituary
GARVEY - Mrs. Bonnie M. Garvey, aged 66 of Branch, passed away at her home on Thursday, December 25, 2008. Bonnie was born in Muskegon on April 13, 1942 to Clyde & Virginia (Christensen) Crain. On February 9, 1973 she married William Garvey in Norton Shores and they had celebrated 35 years together.Bonnie loved being a Mom and Grandma and took great joy in her children and grandchildren. She provided in-home care for handicapped children, giving additional love and support when she and Bill adopted eight of those children into their family. In her time to relax, she enjoyed watching the variety of wildlife that surrounded their home as well as taking in her favorite shows on the Game Show network and Court TV.Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Shelia Crain and Kathy Taylor and daughter-in-law Christina Garvey. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Bill, her children Gary (Carla) Garvey, Shelia (Mike) DeWitt, Martin (Mary) Garvey, Curtis (Alicia) Garvey, Brian Garvey, Melinda Garvey, Rebecca (Gustavo) Lopez, Robert Garvey, Candie (Travis) Garvey, Robyn Garvey, Eugene Garvey, and Michael Garvey, 30 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren, her brothers Gene (Gloria) Crain, Terry (Krissy) Crain and Steve (Denise) Crain, her sister Sherrie (James) Gates and her very special brother- and sister-in-law Frank & Peggy Taylor, as well as many special friends.A memorial service to celebrate and remember Bonnie’s life will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, January 3, 2009 at their home, 9518 N.
