Carol Ann Leonard's Obituary
Carol Ann Leonard, aged 63 of Scottville, passed away on Monday, September 7, 2009 at Memorial Medical Center of West Michigan in Ludington. Carol was born on July 30, 1946 in Chicago to Bernice (Sidlauskas) and John Arlauskis, and attended St. Mary’s School in Custer. On July 31, 1965 she married Richard Leonard at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Custer, and they have celebrated 44 years together. Carol worked for 10 years in the warehouse at Stokely’s Cannery as a packager, and enjoyed dancing, playing cards with her friends, bingo, and trips to the casino. She also loved hunting for bargains, the splendor of the Christmas season, and attending her children and grand children’s ballgames. She was their most ardent fan. Carol was preceded in death by her parents, and her stepfather Joe Jodko. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Rich; her son Roger of Ludington; her daughter Renee and Bill Olenchak of Scottville; her grandchildren Casey McNamara and Holly Olenchak both of Scottville; her sisters Darlene Sorenson of Fountain, and Christine (Carl) Kostecki of Cadiz, Kentucky; her brothers Tom Davis, and Greg Arlauskis both of Fountain; her brothers-in-law Bruce Leonard, and Kenny (Pat) Leonard, all of Fountain, and her sisters-in-law Ardith Heskett of Dowagiac, Betty Richardson of Ludington and Charlotte Leonard of Ina, Illinois, as well as several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated for Carol on Saturday, September 12 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Custer with Rev. Mike Cilibraise as celebrant. Burial will take place at Brookside Cemetery in Scottville. Friends may meet with her family for a time of visitation on Saturday from 10:00 AM until time of Mass at the church. Those who wish to make contributions, are asked to make them to her family for charities to be decided later.
