Carol Loraine White's Obituary
Carol Loraine White, aged 79 of Branch, died on Friday, August 15, 2008 at her home. Carol was born in Mason County on December 26, 1928, the only child of George and Maude (Landon) Underwood, and married Raymond White on July 3, 1949. They celebrated 43 years together before Raymond preceded her in death on November 14, 1992. Carol worked several years as a waitress at Emerson Lake Inn, and at the Oasis restaurant, enjoyed sewing, and was formerly an active member of the Mason County 4-H. Carol will be lovingly remembered by her four sons Raymond G. White, Ronald F. White of Branch, Richard (Wendy) White of Branch, and Daniel (Sharyl) White of Traverse City; 9 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and numerous cousins. Funeral services will be held for Carol at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 19 at the Stephens Funeral Home in Scottville, with Rev. Norm Letsinger of Bachelor Evangelical Covenant Church officiating. Burial will follow at Tallman Cemetery.
