I have always admired, looked up to, and respected Carolyn. I always admired her wonderful character and amazing talents. I consider being a friend of hers a true privilege.

When I had major surgery in Traverse City back in October 2022, my surgeon had a nurse (a woman) practitioner assigned to my case and overseeing my care while I was in the hospital, we got along very well. While I was interacting with this nurse practitioner, I thought to myself, this woman reminded me of someone I know whom I highly respect with her voice and mannerisms. It dawned on me finally - CAROLYN!

About the time Carolyn was at her end (I didn't know itvthen) I had sent a birthday card to her, joking about hitting a milestone birthday and I need to behave myself because I have a milestone in 2027. Steve let me know via text about Carolyn's passing.

Although my heart hurts with Carolyn's passing, I'm comforted with the vision of Carolyn in the light with a smile.

We are so sorry to hear of Carolyne's passing and will pray for her and the whole family. We have such fond memories of driving through their beautiful "forest" during our visit to them one autumn years ago.
