I am a loss for words...Dan and I grew up together. My childhood was centered around family...Uncles, Aunts, and cousins - of the Smith family. I was lucky, Dan was always bigger than me and kept me out of trouble...life was simple...When it wasn't we would read comic books and as life happens we moved apart. I called him when I could, but not as often as I should have. I was there when Connie & Dan were married. He found the love of his life. I don't know which of us had that 12 minutes, but I wish I had it back. Rest in peace my friend my brother. We will meet again. Lynn
Dan & Connie dedicated their lives to helping others. Even though he was not a religious man, he was one of the most Godly men I have ever known. He was a special person & he is greatly missed by all of those who knew him. He touched many lives with his selfless heart. He was my sister's soul mate & their life together was an amazing love story.

Dan was one of the most intelligent people I've ever known. He had a huge heart, a quick wit and devine sense of humor. He loved life and cherished friends and family. I am so blessed that he was my big brother and I will miss him dearly. RIP Brother.
