Delton "Dale" Lemire's Obituary
Delton Ray “Dale” Lemire aged 63 of Ludington passed away on Friday, October 19, 2018 at his home. Dale was born on November 21, 1954 in Ludington, the youngest son of Roy and Blanche (French) Lemire. Dale was first married to Kathleen L. (VanConant) and she preceded him in death in 1986. He then married Linda M. Cay on April 25, 1987 in a service officiated by Rev. John Christensen, and they have celebrated 31 years together.
Dale worked many years maintaining, repairing, and setting up mobile homes throughout the area. He enjoyed being outdoors as much as possible, hunting, fishing, working on cars, and riding his motorcycle, usually as fast as possible, but his greatest enjoyment was being around his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Dale will be greatly missed by his wife Linda, his children Chad Delton Charles Lemire and wife Kathy of Scottville, Stacy Kay Olds and husband Harold also of Scottville, Sonny Delton Ray Lemire and wife Marlayna of Ludington, and Austin Kirk Lemire of Scottville; his grandchildren Wesley Lemire, Stacy Cerka, Alisha Lemire, Keri, Tori, and Tanner Olds, Lexi, and Maelee Lemire; and his great-grandchildren Brielle, Jon, Rae Lynn, Bentley, Forest, Jake, and baby boy McKinley soon to arrive.
Dale will also be missed by his brother and sisters Joanne Case, Vernice (Harold) Barber, and Roy (Judy Lemire all of Ludington; his sister-in-law Ella Lemire of Scottville, and numerous nieces and nephews. Along with his wife Kathleen, Dale was preceded in death by his parents, his granddaughter Stephanie Marie, his brother Richard Lemire, and his sisters Diana Nelson and Debra Lemire.
Funeral services will be held for Dale at 11:00 am on Wednesday, October 24 at Wyman Funeral & Cremation Services – Stephens Funeral Home in Scottville. Friends may meet with his family during a time of visitation on Tuesday evening from 7:00 – 9:00 pm at the funeral home.
