Dolores June Butler's Obituary
Mrs. Dolores June Butler, aged 77 of Scottville, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at her home. Dolores was born on June 10, 1931 in Scottville to William and Mabel (McGhan) Sanders. Later on, Mabel was remarried to Gerald Beebe. Delores married Billie D. Butler on November 15, 1947 in Battle Creek. They celebrated 47 years together before Billie preceded her in death on October 5, 1995. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her stepfather, her son Stephen Robert, and her brother Gary LeRoy Sanders. Dolores formerly worked at Atkinson’s in Ludington as a machine operator, at Woolworth’s in Battle Creek, as a waitress for Zack’s Truck Stop, as a clerk for the Ben Franklin 5 & 10, and at Scottville Variety Store. She always enjoyed playing Bingo with her dear friends, crocheting, and making a variety of craft items. Her family was her pride and joy. She loved to celebrate the holidays with them, and was forever Christmas shopping. Her grandchildren will always remember her famous fudge, and sleepovers at grandma and grandpa’s, waking up to buckwheat pancake breakfasts. Dolores was always busy with something, even if just out taking a walk downtown, but she always made time for her much-anticipated Saturday night phone calls with her grandchildren.Dolores will be greatly missed by her daughters Victoria and husband John Malburg, Phyllis Kane, Nancy Miszewski and her friend Jim Balinski all of Scottville, and Kelly and her husband Brad Fredricks of Twin Lake; her beloved grandchildren Terenia & Mike Wilbur, Gregory and Ginger Malburg, Stacy Kane and her friend Heraldo Vasquez, Josh Kane and his friend Somer Rappuhn, Rochelle Miszewski, Brooke Naidus, Caleb Kane, Tyler Companion, Trevor Fredricks, Austin Krusinski, Logan , Spencer, and Carson Fredricks, Aubrey, and Gabby Balinski; her precious Great-grandchildren Aleshia, Michael, Trenton, Adrianna, Amelia, Henry, Addison, Frankie, Vianca, Gabriella, Fabian, Katelyn, and Caden; her wonderful great, great-granddaughter Victoria; her brother Roger and his wife Darlene Sanders, her sisters Sonja and her husband Charles Argue, and Kathy and her husband Bill Wilson.
