Edna Marjorie Beadle's Obituary
Edna Marjorie was born on April 23, 1921, the daughter of Perry and Ida May (Miller) Tyndall, and graduated from Custer High School. On her birthday in 1942, she married Deward “Don” Beadle at the home of Rev. Fred Stewart, and they celebrated 63 years together before Don preceded her in death on November 6, 2005. Edna was well known in her family for her cooking skills, especially her apple pies, and always made sure her pantry was full with canned fruits and vegetables. She enjoyed spending her time sewing, quilting, scrapbooking, doll making, and working in her flower garden. Recently, she and her sister Helen shared an apartment at Village Haus in Ludington where they would engage their visitors in a game of Scrabble, or a Big 11 card game. Along with her husband Don, Edna was preceded in death by three grandsons; her brothers Eli, and Leland Tyndall; and her sisters Lula Weaver, Ruth Taylor, Isadore Marvin, and Pearl Johnston. Edna will be greatly missed by her children Roger (Ginny) Beadle of Branch, Marsha (Peter) Merklinger of Reed City, Wanda (Dr. Lewis) Squires of Scottville, Lloyd (Noreen) Beadle of North Pole, Alaska; 17 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 7 great, great-grandchildren; her brother Cecil (Clementine) Tyndall of Carr Settlement; her sisters Gladys Atwood of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Helen Tyndall of Ludington; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held for Edna at 12:00 noon on Saturday, August 22 at the Stephens Funeral Home in Scottville, with Pastor Joe Whitaker officiating. Burial of her remains will follow at the McCumber Cemetery in Carr Settlement. Friends may meet with her family for a time of visitation on Saturday morning from 11:00 AM until time of services at the funeral home.
