Edward George Thom's Obituary
OBITUARY:Edward George Thom, aged 82 of Fountain, passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2011 at Memorial Medical Center in Ludington. Edward was born on September 1, 1928 in Muskegon to George and Martha (Marth) Thom, and married Rose Baushke on April 23, 1952 in Muskegon. They have enjoyed a blessed journey together for 59 years. Edward worked as a serviceman for Matson Oldsmobile in Muskegon, before retiring to Fountain 15 years ago. He will be greatly missed by his wife Rose; his son Steven (Janet) Thom of Muskegon; his daughter Cindy (John) Shockney of Union City, Indiana; 14 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held for Edward at 1:30 PM on Wednesday, April 6 at the Stephens Funeral Home in Scottville, with Pastor Leo Anderson of Bachelor Evangelical Covenant Church officiating. Burial will follow at the Bachelor Cemetery in Fountain. Friends may meet with his family for a time of visitation on Wednesday from 12:30 PM until time of services at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in care of Edward’s family.
