Eleanor "Elle" Bartholomew's Obituary
Eleanor “Ellie” Bartholomew age 87 of Ludington, MI passed away peacefully on Saturday June 21, 2025. Ellie was born on December 28, 1937 in Philadelphia, PA the daughter of John and Eleanor Humes. She had two siblings - Jack Humes, who preceded her in death, and Linda (Ero) Selander. Ellie was married to Elmer Bartholomew on September 10, 1959 and they celebrated 43 years together before Elmer preceded her in death in 2002.
Ellie will be greatly missed by their three sons David (Tracie) from Branch, MI; Richard from Barrington NH; and Glenn (Mary) from Cadillac, MI. Ellie will also be missed by her seven grandchildren Tanya (Michael) Lamont, Mark (Felicia) Bartholomew, Thor (Hannah) Bartholomew, Michelle (Michael) Gross, Ivan (Sierra) Bartholomew, Bryant and Bryce Bartholomew; her four great-grandchildren Brooke and Bailey Lamont, Malia and Maximus Bartholomew.
Ellie was most proud of being an LPN Nurse in 6 states over her 40 year career. She was kind and generous to her family and strangers alike - always offering a smile, a good morning, and a hug. She will be missed, and she is happy to be in the presence of our Lord and reunited with her husband Elmer.
