Ellie was a great lady. Having grown up next door to Butch and Eiilie, I have fond memories of summers filled with music and BBQ's. She was a dear friend to my mom and we all were greatful to have her so close. We enjoyed spending time with her while watching the Clown Band in places like Mackinac Island during the Lilac Festival. She was a very special lady. Our deepest sympathies To Butch, Bruce and Rise' and their families.

I first met Ellie when I started high school in Scottville. she and her sister Judy were in the same grade that I was in. I've known her well ever since. She was one of the nicest people you could ever hope to meet. She will be missed by all of us.

I can remember spending HOURS at Butch and Ellie's home practicing first aid for ski patrol - something Butch and Jon L. got me involved in. Ellie never practiced but was often a willing "injury victim" for us to practice on. Brave lady! Always a gracious lady with a fun streak. Debby Saxton
Fond memories going clear back to Buckingham Café. My love and prayers to you all. Ellen Chisholm
Aunt Ellie will be missed so much. Such a kind heart and caring spirit. I have so many wonderful memories of spending time with her and Grandma growing up. Now they are both watching over their families with pride. Wonderful women who have left wonderful legacies.
Dear Butcher, Ellie was one of the sweetest people I have ever had the privilege to know. I am so sorry for your loss. We will miss seeing her at the summer concerts in Baldwin. Prayers for you and your family. Kris Trucks
Dear Butch, Bruce, and Rise',
My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time of sorrow in the loss of your sweet wife, and Mother. I remember doing her hair while Rise' was on vacation and our long talks, we all loved going out for our annual luncheons, Margaret, Ellie, Barb, Rise' and myself. She was a kind and loving lady, full of grace and goodness. She will be missed by many of her loved ones and the whole Scottville community. She was one in a million. May you rest in the arms of Jesus now, my sweet Ellie. Always in my thoughts. Sandy and Alan Martin(Lower).
I have so many wonderful memories with Ellie and her family. Going to Clown Bandparades and concerts,Civic Band nites in Pentwater, taking us girls to the beach, boat tripson Hamlin Lakes, fireworks on the 4th, building awesome Harvest Festival kids parade things in her garage(winning every year), getting ready for nights out as teenagers with Rise' and our friends and the list could go on forever. She was like a 2nd mom. I love you Ellie. RIP and hole you know you meant so much to me, your famy and your friends. Prayers are with you all .... Butch, Bruce and Rise'. You are in my thoughts as you say goodbye to a very special wife and mom. ❤️
Butch, Bruce, Rise' and families, I am so sorry for your loss. Ellie was a beautiful, loving and compassionate woman. I remember many great times with Ellie when Butch and Bruce would have a dance job, and times at the Elks. Your families as well as the Scottville community have lost a treasure. She will be missed by everyone that knew and loved her. You will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers. Love to you all.
