Emil John Wolfe Jr.'s Obituary
Emil J. Wolfe Jr., aged 67 of Angleton, Texas, formerly of Custer, died Tuesday, January 29 in Texas. Emil was born on May 5, 1940 in Winnamac, Indiana to Emil and Sophie (Skowronski) Wolfe Sr. The family moved to the Ludington area in 1954, where Emil attended St. Simon Catholic School, before moving to Custer and graduating from Custer High School with the class of 1958. He married Jackie Battice in 1964 in Custer, and she preceded him in death in 1976. Emil worked as a meat cutter for Bonser’s Market in Custer before moving to Angleton in 1981 where he worked for Dow Chemical for several years. Emil was a hard worker and enjoyed spending time outdoors. He was also preceded in death by his parents, and his grandson Anthony. He will be remembered by his sons Emil J. Wolfe III, and Michael Wolfe both of Manistee, and Joseph Wolfe, with whom he resided in Angleton, Texas; his daughters Dawn Marie (Steve) Novitski of Champaign, Illinois, Verna (Tony Rodriguez) Wolfe, and Julie Wolfe both of Manistee; many grandchildren; his sisters and brother Marie (Ed) Sanborn of Ludington, Dorothy (Bernie) Lange of Rodney, Lori (Terry) Dolley of Grand Rapids, Eugene (Lynn) Wolfe of Ludington, Marlene Wellman of Grand Rapids, and Darlene (Steve) Lund of Scottville; and many nieces and nephews.
