Ernest William Crossman's Obituary
OBITUARY:Ernest William Crossman, aged 60 of Free Soil, went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, July 10, 2010. Ernie was born December 1, 1949 in Detroit, the son of Conrad Reginald and Aileen Amanda (Turovaara) Crossman, and attended Lawrence Tech University. On December 4, 1970 he married Sandra Schroderus in Dearborn, and they have celebrated 39 years together. Ernie was an appliance repairman for over 30 years, and operated “Ernie’s Appliance Repair” for over 20 years, always on the ready to service his customers. As he traveled throughout northern Michigan, Ernie was never without his camera, photographing the area he loved so much. He also enjoyed spending his time fishing and camping, and especially looking for ways to serve his Lord and Savior. He was preceded in death by his parents. Ernie will be greatly missed by his wife Sandra, his daughters Kimberly Ray of Mesa, Arizona, and Kerri (David) Wood of Scottville; his sons Dillon Crossman, and Daniel (Odille) Crossman both of California; his grandchildren Micah, Tirzah, Seth, and Jael Wood; his sister Kathleen Kristo of Wyandotte; and his good friends Rich and Carol Dailey of Free Soil. A Memorial Service will be held for Ernie at 11:30 AM on Saturday, July 17 at the Farmview Resort in Free Soil, with Rev. Timothy Yankee of Calvary Baptist Church officiating. A Celebration of Life open house will follow at the resort from Noon until 5:00 PM. Those who wish to make a memorial contribution are asked to consider his family.
