Evelyn Arvilla Williams' Obituary
Evelyn Arvella Williams, aged 83 of Walhalla, died on Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at Oakview Medical Care Facility in Ludington. Evelyn was born July 4, 1925 in Tyner, Indiana to Earl and Ursa (Filbey) Enyart. She graduated from Rochester High School, Rochester, IN in 1943. She married Russell F. Williams on August 16, 1942 in Phenix City, Alabama while he was serving in the United States Army. Evelyn was a homemaker and enjoyed reading, designing and helping to build their four houses, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She will be lovingly remembered by her very devoted husband, Russell; her children: Penny (David) Buffenbarger of Midland, and David (Debby) Williams of Walhalla; six grandchildren: Jason Williams of Walhalla, Jody (Scott) Dickinson of Ludington, Jessica (Jeff) Kaiser of Walhalla, Jamie (Tim) Rafter of Walhalla, Eric Buffenbarger of Redford and Ryan (Candy) Buffenbarger of New Carlisle, OH; eight great grandchildren: Kaitlynn, Madison and Riley Kaiser, Melody and Alayna Rafter, Lillian and Brian Dickinson and Elizabeth Buffenbarger. She is also survived by three brothers: Raymond (Ruth) Enyart, Emerson (Barbara) Enyart, and Carl (Pat) Enyart; one sister Norma Jean (Dale) Becker, all of Indiana; her sister-in-law Lee Williams of Mt. Pleasant; brother-in-law Frank (Nancy) Lindley of Indiana and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Wilson and Kenneth Enyart and a sister, Eileen Simpson.Her family is very grateful for the wonderful care Evelyn received for the past 13 1/2 years from the staff at Oakview. A family graveside service for Evelyn will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 6, at Brookside Cemetery, Scottville. Friends and family are invited to celebrate her life at 1:00 PM at the Branch Township Hall, First Street, Walhalla, where lunch will be provided. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Oakview Medical Care Facility.
