Gary Edward Berg's Obituary
OBITUARY:Gary E. Berg, aged 66 of Free Soil, went home to be with his Lord on Monday, August 1, 2011. Gary was born on September 5, 1944 to Lawrence and Prudence (Turcott) Berg, and married Judith Hall on March 11, 1966 in Pontiac. Gary worked several years as an auto mechanic before working as a Postal Carrier for the United States Postal Service. He enjoyed spending time in northern Michigan hunting, fishing, and snowmobiling as often as possible with his family. Gary was preceded in death by his wife Judith in 2001, his parents, his brother Kirt Berg, and his sister Cherry Bell. He will be lovingly remembered by his son Brian Berg and his wife Raneen of Free Soil, his daughter Debra Bollin and her husband Michael of Muskegon, his grandchildren Joshua Aaron Berg, Clint Bollin, Kyle Edward Bollin, Brandon Christopher Swantek, Justin Michael Coolman , and Alex Bollin, his brother Dale Berg of Traverse City, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held for Gary at 1:00 pm on Friday, August 5 at the Stephens Funeral Home in Scottville. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Free Soil. Friends may meet with his family for a time of visitation on Thursday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
