Gayle Ann Houghton's Obituary
OBITUARY:Gayle A. Houghton, 58, of Ludington, passed away at her home on May 10, 2012. Gayle was born January 12, 1954 in Cadillac to Eugene & Ruth (Norman) Thue. Following graduation from high school she attended West Shore Community College and Davenport University, graduating with a business degree. She worked for Davenport University, eventually moving to Scottville and working at West Shore Community College as the coordinator for their programs with Davenport. She was the manager of the Big Brothers/Big Sisters program in Mason County and also worked as a waitress at various restaurants in the community. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Norman Thue.Gayle is survived by her companion Donald Houghton; her children Gary (Laura) Hardenburgh of Ludington, Gina Stearns of Grand Rapids and Eric (Sarah) Houghton of Ludington; her grandchildren Logan, Shelbi, Zachary & Rylee Hardenburgh, Trevor & Garrett Stearns, and Ruthann Houghton; her brothers Robert (Sharon) Thue of Kingsley, Douglas (Robin) Thue of Florida and her dear friend Deborah Appledorn of Scottville.A memorial service for Gayle will be held at 1:00 pm at Saturday, May 19, 2012 at Crossroads Church in Custer, with Pastor Rich Chasse officiating.
