Dear Jane
I send my deepest sympathy to you and your family. I am so sorry for your loss. But, I am also sorry for my loss. The loss of a great teacher, director, coach and a wonderful friend.
From the time I met George, in the 6th grade and throughout my terrible teenage years, he was one of the most influencial men in my life. He saw my difficulties as a child from divorced parents. He saw me struggle with 'teenage stuff'. He saw ME! He always had time to listen. He was always there when I needed him and I always felt he understood me.
George had a fantiastic ability to make me feel that I was special. That I was important. And he instilled in me the belief that whatever I wanted out of life, I could get.....If I worked at it. He helped me to laugh at myself and accept myself for who I was/am. He believed in who I was and who I would become.
Meeting George last summer was a beautiful reminder of the magnificent man that he was. I was reminded of how proud I am that knew him. I was reminded of his ability to me me feel good about myself. I was reminded of how lucky I was, to be one of his "children".
George will always be one of the most important people in my life. And will always be a part of who I am.
I will miss him.
I will honor his memory and
I will love him....always.
Thank you Jane for letting me be a part of your lives. Thank you for years of love and support. Thank you for treating me as one of your own. And thank you Jane for taking such good care of George all these years.
All my love
Sheila K. Quinlan

Jayne and Family, we just want you to know that we are very fortunate to have known George. He will be missed at Lakewood, he was such a nice person and always had a big smile on his face. Our sympathy to your family.

To have been a part of George's life was such a blessing! He brought creative energy into everything he attempted to do whether it was directing the church choir or organizing the many kitchen menus to put on magnificent events at Lakewood RV resort in Harlingen, Texas where we first met. We first met when he was M.C.ing a Ladies Fashion Show in his white dinner jacket. What a presence he had every time he entered the room. Always smiling and generous to a fault! We were privileged to be the dinner guests at their table on a 70 person cruise he organized to the Caribbean during one of those wonderful winters in South Texas. George & Jayne are one of the couples who really made a difference wherever they were. We will always have fond memories and smiles when we think of him. Our deepest sympathy to Jayne and the family. Until we meet again.....

We are very sad to hear of George's passing. He was very special to our daughter during her years of OM competition. He was a wonderful coach and role model to so many. We have many fond memories of practices and OM meets with George.
Jane, you and Katie and Stephen will be in our thoughts and prayers.
With deepest sympathy, Colleen and Mike Mullen
