My wife and I were fellow members with Jerry and his wife at Sharon Presbyterian Church in Charlotte. We enjoyed volunteering with him at the Charlotte Men's Shelter. He was a special caring man. We recently learned that Jerry and I were born a few days apart 87 years ago, and that Jerry and Pat were married on the exact same day as Notra and I in August 1959.

Jerry was a faithful participant in the early worship services at Sharon Presbyterian. He was kind to ask about our younger child, Abby, and how she was doing. He said that he enjoyed her singing in th3 youth choir years before. Jerry was a nice man with a welcoming demeanor who will be missed.
