Grandpa Briggs taught me a lot about hard work, focus, and chasing my dreams. I am thankful for the home away from home he gave my brother David for many years. Grandpa also taught a love of farming to my brother, which changed David's life in so many positive ways. He was a kind and generous man. He was married to the same woman for close to 65 years and loved her dearly. More than anything I am thankful for the love this man had for Jesus Christ. This will be his greatest legacy. He instilled this love in his children, which passed to his grandchildren, which is continually passed to his great-grandchildren. I pray his legacy will continue to be passed down through the generations to come.

Gordon and Carol were frequent visitors to Glen Memorial Baptist church in St. Ignace where my wife and I got to know them. I will always remember Gordon's voice and his firm handshake.It always brought a smile to my face to see the two of them on Sunday morning. Loved talking with them. What an amazing Godly man and what a legacy he leaves.

So sorry to hear of Gordon's passing and we know he is present with the Lord. He was a strong witness for the Lord with dear Carol, raising his family with the Lord's leading.
