Michell Genter Ellison
I remember spending a lot of time at the farm with (great) Aunt Helen and (great) Uncle Robert. Cherished memories of milking cows, teasing a bull, climbing in a corn crib, and eating delicious meals. When they used to stay at Bass Lake, we had many bonfires. We would all beg Aunt Helen to sing a song in Swedish. She never believed she had a beautiful voice, but to this day, I've never heard anyone sing so lovely. When Aunt Helen and Uncle Robert moved to the lake permanently, I loved visiting them whenever we could. I'm so glad I was able to see Aunt Helen when I came back to Michigan for a visit in 2011. There are no words to comfort Uncle Robert and the rest of Aunt Helen's family, but I love all of you and wish I could've been home during this time. Love to all of you...Shellie Genter Ellison
