Ima Mary Kaminski's Obituary
Mrs. Ima Mary Kaminski, aged 91 of Fountain, died on Monday, April 28, 2008 at Memorial Medical Center in Ludington. Ima was born on January 17, 1917 in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania to Antonia and Angela Canales, and married Florian Kaminski on June 8, 1945 in Detroit. They celebrated 55 years together before Florian preceded her in death on May 5, 2001. Ima was a member of the Custer Gold Bar VFW Post 5096 Ladies Auxillary. She would entertain her family by playing the organ, and was an accomplished artist, known for her paintings of clowns and area landscapes. Ima and Florian operated the Pinecrest Resort located on the north side of Round Lake for several years, and were former members of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Victory Township. Ima was currently a member of St. John Cantius Catholic Church in Free Soil. She will be greatly missed by her sons Frank ((Sandy), and Floyd (Deb) Kaminski all of Fountain; her grandchildren Tonya (Justin) Palka, Jennifer (Casey) Lake, and Megan Kaminski; her great-grandchildren Brianna and Brady Zimmer, Jordan, McKenna, and Garrett Lake, and Lee Sanford Jr.; her sister Ann Mazurco of Los Angeles, California; and many nieces and nephews.
