Isabelle worked as an Editor for the State of Michigan overseeing the development of the Legislative Handbook until her retirement in 1983. She returned to Mason County in 1988 where she proudly became the family historian.
Isabelle was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers William (Agnes) Hasenbank III, and Robert Hasenbank, and her nephews William IV and Carl Hasenbank. Isabelle will be lovingly remembered by her sister-in-law Joan Hasenbank, and her nephew Warren Hasenbank Sr. both of Free Soil, four grand-nephews, and two great grand-nieces.
According to Isabelle’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a Graveside service will be held for her in the spring at Maple Grove Cemetery in Free Soil. Those who wish to remember Isabelle with a memorial donation are asked to consider The Isabelle Hasenbank Collection at White Pine Village.
