David Hankwitz
John death hit us all hard at Hankwitz heating. He was family and the best installer I ever work with in my 45 yrs. The guys would call him the Machine. Not much talking and never a wasted minute and always about doing the best job on time . He made bending sheet metal look so easy. ( Its not. Its a art form) He would stop by the shop a couple times a year to check up on us after retiring and I would always stop by in the summer. Every time he would be out side working in the yard or garden. Still remember my mom telling my dad years ago, we need Johnny Fargo to help us, because he is the the best. Dad would say he knows and fortune for us, John said yes. ( he had to ask Carol 1st) So glad we all got to work with him and watch him do his trade but more important, was his honesty and work ethic and character. Never had 1 complaint from any customers about him and I never had to correct a job he was on. ( that is on heard of) In fact we ask John for advice and how to do the jobs. If you ever get a chance look behind the back of St.Simon's church. The AC system John build all by custom bending and he and Roger Baily installed. The architect said the job would cost over $112,000. John did it for $14,000. He did it the John Fargo way. It still works great after all those years. The Church used the extra savings to put AC in the class rooms and the cafe. He has his work all over Mason county. They dont make them like him any more.
