John L. Frane's Obituary
John Lloyd Frane, aged 68 of Freesoil, died peacefully on Friday, August 8, 2014 at his home in Grant Township. John was born on January 21, 1946 in Aurora, Illinois, the son of Chester and Dorothy Frane, and married Debbie McClinsey. They celebrated 35 years together before Debbie preceded him in death in 2009. John then married Victoria Larson on May 15, 2010 at Beacon Ministries, and Vicki survives him.
John was a member of the Scottville Church of Christ, and worked many years as a mechanic before recently retiring as a Cellular Phone salesman.
John will be lovingly remembered by his wife Vicki, his children Chad (Misty) Frane, Rhiandra Frane, Jacki (Chris) Kapala, and Jonathan (Ladina) Gray, his grandchildren Aubrey and Andrew Frane, Alyssa, Emily, and Evan Kapala, Raven, Myron, and Blaze Gray, his foster son Scott (Nan) Fenner, his brother Michael (Debbie) Frane, his sister Carol Spinner, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with his wife Debbie, John was also preceded in death by his parents, and several siblings.
A Memorial service will be held for John at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 16 at Beacon Ministries with his friends Pastor Tom Donald, and Pastor Tammy Bacon officiating. Friends may meet with his family for a time of visitation on Saturday morning from 10:00 – 11:00 am at Beacon Ministries. Those who wish to make memorial contributions are asked to consider the Frane family c/o Stephens Funeral Home to assist with funeral costs.
