John Wayne Mulligan's Obituary
John Wayne Mulligan, a devoted outdoorsman, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2025 at the age of 58.
Born with a natural love for the outdoors, John found his greatest joy in nature. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who cherished early mornings on the water and quiet walks through the woods. Whether it was casting a line or tracking game, John found peace and purpose in the beauty of the natural world, and he never missed a chance to share that passion with family and friends.
Away from the woods and water, John loved a good pool game. He was often found with a cue stick in hand, laughing with friends and enjoying the challenge of competition. For John, it wasn’t just about the game—it was about the people he shared it with, and the memories and friendships made along the way.
Above all else, John loved his family. He is survived by his devoted wife of 37 years, Virginia Mulligan; his children Krystal (Anthony Riley) Jablonski, John (Nicole) Mulligan, and Patrick (Stephanie Spinner) Mulligan; his sisters Jean (Scott) Toney, Julie (Joe) Leclair; and his ten grandchildren. He was a proud family man, always offering guidance, and laughter to those closest to him.
John is preceded in death by his parents Patrick and MaryJane Mulligan; his daughter Amanda Mulligan; and his grandson Timothy Jablonski. Their memories lived on in him, and now his memory will live on in all those he leaves behind.
He will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, his loyalty, his sense of humor, and the love he had for his family and friends. His legacy is one of strength, kindness, and appreciation for life’s simple treasures.
“Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts. May his spirit live on in every sunrise over the water and every quiet walk through the woods.”
