Joyce Elaine Hanson's Obituary
Joyce Elaine Hanson age 84 of Irons passed away peacefully on Monday, December 25, 2023 surrounded by her family. Joyce was born on April 3, 1939 in Comstock Park, Michigan, the daughter of Harold D. and Edna (Bunce) Curtis and graduated from Comstock Park High School. On October 31, 1959 she married Ronald H. Hanson and they have celebrated 64 wonderful years by each other’s side.
Joyce lived a life of love and joy with family and friends. She loved to play the piano at Faith Fellowship Church where she was a member and worked many years for Dublin Store.
Along with her husband Ronald, Joyce will be greatly missed by her daughter Beverly (Richard) Havemen; her son Ronald (Jacqueline) Hanson; her grandsons Ryan (Dalena) Danielson, Daniel and Steven Haveman; her great-grandchildren Sydney, Oliver, and James; her brothers Irwin (Barbara) Curtis, and Warren (Millie) Curtis; her sister-in-law Cindy Curtis; her brother-in-law Dan (Gail) Hanson; along with several nieces and nephews and many great friends and neighbors made over a lifetime.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents Harold and Edna Curtis; her sisters Donna Jean, Phyllis, and Eunice; and her brother Harold.
A Ceremony to celebrate Joyce’s life will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, December 30 at Faith Fellowship Church, 8889 West 6 Mile Road, Irons, MI 49644 with her pastor, Ernie Wagner officiating. Burial will take place at Lakeview Cemetery in Irons. Friends may meet with her family on Saturday morning from 11:00 am until time of services at the church.
