KATHERINE'S OBITUARY:Katherine J. (Darke) Golnick, aged 50 of Ludington, passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2013. Katherine was born on September 12, 1962 in Ludington to Robert Stephen and Carolyn Jean (Muzzy) Darke, and graduated from Ludington High School in 1981. She enjoyed working puzzles, crosswords, crocheting, knitting, and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Katherine also volunteered many hours with FiveCAP. She was preceded in death by her father Robert Darke.Katherine will be greatly missed by her children Herbert J. Golnick III of Hart, Kendra S. Golnick of Scottville, Cindy E. (Bernard Jr.) Bovee of Fountain, and Julie K. Golnick of Shelby, 17 grandchildren, her mother Caroline (Harold) Wilkes of Custer, her sister Ginger Darke of Grandville, her stepbrothers Harold Wilkes III and William Wilkes both of Addison, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and her niece and nephew.A memorial service will be held for Katherine at 11:00 AM on Monday, April 8 at Victory Baptist Church with Pastor Darrell Storvik officiating. Friends may meet with her family prior to the service from 9:30 – 11:00 AM at the church. Memorial contributions may be directed to her family c/o Ginger Darke.
