Kenneth LeRoy Leonard's Obituary
Kenneth L. Leonard, aged 73 of Fountain passed away on Monday, October 19, 2009 at West Shore Medical Center in Manistee. Kenneth was born on September 5, 1936 to Virgil and Noma (Wayne) Leonard, and married Patsy Higginbotham on June 16, 1962. They have celebrated 47 years together. Ken served his country with the United States Army, and retired from the Mason County Road Commission in 2001 after working as a mechanic for over 30 years. He was preceded in death by his father Virgil Leonard, his mother Noma Ownby, and his brothers Keith and Fred Leonard. Ken will be greatly missed by his wife Patsy, his children Kenneth Dewayne Leonard, James (Kelly Jo) Leonard all of Fountain; his grandson Michael Curry of Fountain; his brothers Bruce Leonard of New Jersey, and Richard Leonard of Scottville; his sister Ardith Heskett of Dowgiac; his special friends Kathy and Dan Sorensen, Eric Brooks and Stephanie Weber and their children Leah and Brinton Brooks, and all his other kids in Fountain. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be no funeral home visitation or services.
