Sorry to hear of this. I have memories of spending time at the McCumber home in Cadillac with my dear friend Sheila. My prayers for healing go to you and your family.

Sympathy to the four McCumber children and seven grand children..R.I.P., Laura.
I met Laura at the many Mason Lake Conservation District meetings, that we both attended. She and I would sit together. She was a pleasant helpful independent individual. I was sorry to read of her passing. My sympathy to her family. Per Laura's wishes, I will send a contribution to the Ruby Creek Conservation Club. I had Safety Rifle Classes at the club. Good bye Laura. Alexis Lapenas Gestes-Bradow
I just want to say that as a friend and neighbor of Laura, that she was one tough bird. Seeing her out kayaking or pounding fence posts, she was unstoppable. Thoroughly enjoyed yacking with her up at the Ruby Creek Conservation Club for different events.
Quite a lady and she will be missed around the Carr Settlement and Ruby Creek area.
We send our very best to the family and prayers. Know Laura is settled and quite happy in Heaven probably gathering ramps, or Morell Mushrooms, or pounding fence posts for the Almighty. Hugs and all our best.......Mark Horsley and Barbara Loomis
Kathy, Eric, Brent and Sheila, our sincere sympathy to you and your families. Jr and Shirley shared a lot of good times with Jim and Laura while growing up and I remember hearing lots of fun stories! Laura will definitely be missed in the settlement and by all who knew her. The Rhine's
Laura has been a dear friend from the first day we met her, as she joined our kayak group. She was quiet and kept to herself. But we quickly learned that she was a very independent lady! She knew how to handle her kayak in any situation, and I think we all learned a thing or two from her. She was always ready and willing to tackle just about anything. That included going on trips with our group. Ron and I knew she was a little uncomfortable in crowds and strange places, but we always kept her safe, and she was good as long as she had someone guide her. We have missed her dearly the last year or two, and now we will miss her forever. But we will never forget our sweet Laura.
Eric, and your whole family, I'm so very sorry to hear about your Mom. I truly enjoyed talking to her about McCumber genealogy the few times we saw each other. Such a font of information. She will be missed 🙏
