LaVerne M. Karsen's Obituary
OBITUARY:LaVerne M. Karsen, aged 98 of Baldwin, went to meet her savior on Friday, June 3, 2011. LaVerne was born on March 5, 1913 in BerrienSprings to Albert and Zina (Bowerman) Stemm, and was Miss Blossom Time Queen in 1931. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harold Karsen, her son Robert Miller, and several brothers and sisters. She will be lovingly remembered by her children Bonnie (Wilber) Merrill of Baldwin, Betty (Lowell) Brownell of Traverse City, and Dale (Edie) Miller of Baldwin and Florida, her 7 granddaughters Susan Merrill, Karen (Ken) Meinke, Sheila (Eric) Goole, Lisa Adkin, Shari (Jeff) Faultersack, Kathy (Scott) Alferink, and Diane Brownell, and 14 great-grandchildren. A graveside Memorial Service will be held for LaVerne on Saturday, July 9 at 11:00 am at the Spring Run Cemetery in Scottdale.
