Words will never describe our sadness in losing her, but just know we are here for you in your time of need. Mrs. Howe worked with my dad for many years and was a a dear family friend along with Mr. Howe. They were “the adults” while my siblings and I were growing up in Manistee and frequent holiday guests. When “Little Franky” stopped by the office to see his dad, Lorna was always helpful and kind. Many years after I left Manistee, I had the pleasure of exchanging notes for some time with her. I’ll always remember her as kind and peaceful and I’m certain she was a wonderful librarian. She joins my parents in heaven and I’m certain it’s a grand reunion with so may others from that wonderful era in Manistee. God blessed us with her.
Lorna you will be missed you were such a kind and caring person a wonderful mother always my thoughts and prayers to the family.
Lorna and I were both confirmed in the same class at church many years ago. I remember when she worked in the bakery at Foster's and then at the library where she was always cheerful, very helpful and a dedicated employee. My thoughts are with Sharon and Mark also.
