Louis R. Viglietti's Obituary
Louis R. Viglietti, aged 77 of Scottville passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2009 at Mercy Health Partners in Muskegon. Louis was born on July 2, 1931 in Evanston, Illinois to Louis G. and Catherine (Airola) Viglietti, and married Darlene Thurow on April 18, 1959 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Scottville. They celebrated their 50th anniversary together last Saturday. Louis retired from Washington National Insurance Company in Evanston, Illinois in 1988 after 35 years of service. After he and Darlene moved back to Scottville, Louis worked for 5 years at Pump Engineering. He was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, the Scottville Optimist Club, the Ludington Coin Club, and was a former member of the Glencoe, Illinois Lions Club. Louis was preceded in death by his parents, his granddaughter Emily Mae Viglietti, his sister Mary Ann Wickless, his brothers-in-law Ed and Emery Thurow, and his sister-in-law Evelyn Lehrbass. He will be lovingly remembered by his beloved wife Darlene, his daughters Catherine Viglietti of Brattlebow, Vermont, and Cynthia Geaslin of Gurnee, Illinois; his son Robert (Virginia) Viglietti of Scottville; his grandchildren Matthew Giddarie of Brattlebow, Vermont, Warren Giddarie of Manhattan, New York, Nicholas Geaslin of Gurnee, Illinois, Miranda, Joseph, Daniel, and Noah Viglietti all of Scottville; his brother John (Christine) Viglietti of Sheboygan, Wisconsin; his sisters-in-law Betty (Carl) Cheney of Ludington, and Jeanne Thurow of Watertown, Wisconsin; his brother-in-law Richard (Bessie) Thurow of Scottville; many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
