Madeline Mary Shilander's Obituary
Mrs. Madeline Mary Shilander, age 76 of Riverton Township, Scottville,died Saturday, March 1, 2008 at her home. Madeline was born on August 1, 1931 in Eden Township to Frank C. and Agnes E. (Barton) Vermeiren. She married Roy Shilander on his birthday, April 11, 1951. Roy preceded her in death on May 4, 1981. Madeline was a woman who lived simply, finding joy in the knowledge that her children were happy. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her daughter Gaye (John/Jack) Schulke, and her son Cliff (Kellie) Shilander all of Ludington; five grandchildren Nathan and Ryan Schulke, Cliff Jr., Katie, and Aja Shilander; and her two sisters Katrina Kazlauskas of Ludington, and Doris Genson of Wichita Kansas. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. According to her wishes, cremation has taken place.There will be no funeral services or visitation at this time. A remembranceservice is being planned for the spring. Madeline will be buried next to her husband Roy in Center Riverton Cemetery.
