MaryEtta Margaret Corwin's Obituary
Mrs. MaryEtta Margaret Corwin, aged 69 of Scottville, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at Mercy General Health Partners in Muskegon. Mary was born on December 3, 1938 in Buffalo, New York to Earl and Margaret Berge, and graduated from East Lansing High School. On October 18, 1958 she married Melvin John Corwin in Plymouth, and they recently celebrated their 50th anniversary together. Mary worked for several years at Memorial Medical Center in Ludington as an Admitting Clerk. She always looked forward to visits from her beloved children and grandchildren, and enjoyed spending time with her husband Melvin sitting on their porch watching the wildlife around their home. Mary will be lovingly remembered by her husband Melvin, her children Ronald Scott (Stephanie) Corwin of Arcadia, Florida, Debra Lynn Corwin, Lori Ann (Gurden) Paggeot all of Scottville, and Wende Gale (David) Hammond of Michigan; her grandchildren Nicole, Jennifer, Brittany, Tressa, Shelbie, Curtis, Rob, and Kaitlin; her great grandson Mathew; and her foster parents Alice White of Arizona, and Ford White of Missouri who raised her following the deaths of her parents. A memorial service will be held for Mary at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 15 at St. Paul United Methodist Church with Rev. Robert Henning officiating. The family will meet with friends following the service. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to a charity of the donor’s choice.
