Opal Cash's Obituary
Mrs. Opal M. Cash, aged 101 of Attica, MI formerly of Irons, passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2009 at the Angelic Gardens Adult Foster Care Home. Opal was born on September 11, 1908 in Marion, Illinois to Theodore and Bertha (Gulledge) Hudgens, and attended country schools in Illinois. On September 15, 1927 she married Raleigh Cash in Murphysboro, Illinois, and they celebrated 37 years together before Raleigh preceded her in death on January 6, 1965. Opal was also preceded in death by her daughter Dora Albaugh in 1986, her son Charles Cash in 1991, her parents, and her sisters Mary Williams and Lillian Moore. Opal moved to Michigan following her marriage to Raleigh, and thru the years they lived in Oxford and Irons. Opal will be greatly missed by her daughter Judy Cooper of Clinton Township; her son Albert (Janet) Cash of Arrey, New Mexico; 18 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 6 great, great-grandchildren. According to her wishes, Opal has been cremated, and there will be no funeral home services or visitation.
