Thank you, Ray for being a friend and teacher while we worked together at Martin Marietta Trucking of Scottville Michigan. Then give me a job operating a crawler for you and teaching me the finer points of its operation. And motor trucking into the south together to Louisiana and beyond. Ray assisted me in getting my first trucking job in 1977 at the very same trucking company he drove for. He has been the perfect example of a true professional in the trucking industry for over 60 years, both on the road and his interaction off the road. It has been our blessing to have been friends with Ray and Karen all these years. Rest In peace Ray. We love you Karen.

Dear Karen, Kathleen, and Michelle, I am so sorry for your loss. Your dad/husband and my dad were close over the years and I’ve heard stories of times they shared. Once when we were riding horses at your place I overheard Ray telling my dad about the artificial insemination of one of your stock. That led me to ask my dad a question that then led to a “birds and the bees” talk when I was in 4th grade. Got more than I bargained for there! Thinking of you with love at this time.
Ray have me a chance to drive gravel trains when nobody else would,do to lack of experience, that was30+ years ago..He taught me so much and molded me into the driver I am today.. I'll see you on the other side Ray, Keep on truckin my friend!!!
I will remember Ray because he always had a smile and if you were sitting close he would share stories and jokes.
