Rodney Canfield's Obituary
Rodney W. Canfield, aged 81 of Baldwin passed away on Thursday, June 9, 2016 at Grand Oaks Nursing Center. Rodney was born on May 18, 1935 in Luther, the son of Dewey and Mildred (Meade) Canfield. He married Ida “Lucy” Canfield in 1959 in Grand Rapids and they celebrated 55 years together before Lucy preceded him in death on November 15, 2014.
Rodney loved living in the Lake County area hunting, fishing and taking rides with Lucy exploring the back roads. He was an avid WWE Wrestling fan and could often be heard routing on his favorite wrestlers very animatedly, rarely missing a show.
Rodney will be greatly missed by his children Patricia & Bruce Houseman of Howard City, Timothy & Julie Canfield of Baldwin, Shelly & Chris Swartz of Hesperia, 7 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, his brothers Max Canfield and Matt (Susie) Canfield all of Tustin, and many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held for both Rodney and Lucy at 1:00 pm on Sunday, June 26th at the Reed City Train Depot. Please join their family for a time of celebration and sharing of memories.
