TJ and I were good friends when he was in Greenville. I am saddened to hear of his death. We had so many extraordinary literary and cultural conversations that I treasured. Rest eternal grant TJ, O Lord, and let light perpetual shine upon him.
TJ and i were best friends for a time in the 8th and 9th grades. I remember going to his house on our lunch break, eating bologna sandwiches and listening to our favorite rock records. We also started our first band together with Pat Stakenas. Great memories.
Fred, Marty, and Susan. I am so sorry for your loss. I have great memories of our families growing up together. I remember playing baseball in your backyard. Messing with your Dad's tool bench (knowing we were not supposed to). The one memory that sticks with me the most is when TJ and this band would practice in your garage. Talk about rockin the neighborhood. I think the only song they knew was Smoke on the Water. I still think of those days whenever I hear that song. May TJ rest in peace.
