What memories of my Shelby High School years (1958 graduate) came rushing back when I saw her photograph in the White Lake Beacon. She looked exactly as I remember her when I was a student and her style and personality convinced me that I should become a home economics teacher. And I did, for thirty-three years. She was such an inspiration and a kind and encouraging supporter. I've thought often of her. Surely the family will miss her presence.
