Theodore A. Grimes' Obituary
OBITUARY:Theodore A. Grimes, aged 85 of Branch, passed away on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at the Grand Oaks Nursing Center in Baldwin. Theodore was born on October 7, 1925 in Chicago, and married Norma Dinelli on September 2, 1977 in Calumet City, Illinois. They have celebrated 33 years together. Theodore worked in the Chicago area most of his life before moving to Branch. He enjoyed playing the guitar and played with a band in his younger days. He also enjoyed bowling and riding horses. Theodore will be lovingly remembered by his wife Norma; his children Edward (Dawn) Berwanger of Big Rapids, Andrew (Theresa) Grimes of Walhalla, and Albert Grimes of Branch; his grandchildren Corey, Joe, and Nathan Berwanger, Stephanie, Kaylee, Autumn, Zachary, and Annabelle Grimes; his sister Jennie Ozena of Illinois; and his brother Andrew Grimes of Indiana. Funeral services will be held for Theodore at 3:00 PM on Monday, October 25 at the Stephens Funeral Home in Scottville, with Rev. Ron Schneider of St. Ann Catholic Church in Baldwin officiating. Burial will take place at the Oakland Memory Lane Cemetery in Dolton, IL on Tuesday. Friends may meet with his family for a time of visitation on Monday from 2:00 PM until time of services at the funeral home. Those who wish to make a memorial contribution are asked to consider Hospice of Michigan – Mason County in Theodore’s memory.
