I remembers going over to Wayne's parent's house as a kid. He had drawings on his bedroom wall. He was a very good artist. May he Rest In Peace.

It was a joy playing basketball with Wayne on the great ‘72 MCC team. Great guy! He will be missed.

I am truly sorry to hear of Wayne's passing. We were great friends throughout the school years and locker partners through all four years of high school. Early on in 6th grade I think, we walked to the high school daily for band class and would pass his grandmother's house.
As everyone knows, Wayne was an extremely talented athlete and super basketball player. His game winning shot against a Shelby team that had won something like 30 straight games is itched in my memory.
I regret that we fell out of touch, only occasionally running into each other. I will remember him as fun, caring and just an all around good guy, a person I was lucky to be able to call a friend.
My sympathy goes out to the family and hope that they are comforted by the memories they share.

My mackerel teammate for years! RIP Wayne
I will never forget Wayne winning basketball shot, the crowd erupting and chaos! Another memory is my drivers training road trip. Yep, I was gawking at Wayne and buddies standing on the corner by the House of Flavors (probably a day at the beach for him). Wayne had fun teasing me for years to come, about almost rear ending a car in front of me and putting Drivers Ed instructor Jack Shriver (all 6 foot 7 inches) through the windshield, He found it very funny as Jack was Wayne's coach. REST IN PEACE WAYNE ~ MCC PROUD!
