Bill Everett
I have fond memories of Wayne at Wedgwood.Great conversations about how to treat our kids. It was always a great experience to drop into his office to see and talk about his many collections of toy characters. Wayne used his characters to connect with the kids at their level, and they loved him for it.
Our discussions about God and religion were always refreshing and ended in praying for each other.
I was privileged to help Wayne in his beginning thoughts about changing professions. He was eager to do something "real". Plumbing was a path to more self fulfillment. He had already begun a relationship with a friend in Ludington and spoke with joy about his experience.
After Wedgwood and the move north I have been glad for Lucy's FaceBook sharing about life over the years. The opportunities to respond with support and prayer to her messages has been invaluable.Though I regret his cancer and grieve his early death, I remain inspired by the deep faith Wayne, Lucy and Karen demonstrate especially during the greatest test of faith in God's promise of salvation. I pray for peace in these difficult days and into the future.
