Hans Benjamin Leese's Obituary
Hans Benjamin Leese, aged 50 of Gaylord passed away on Friday, January 30, 2015 at Grand Oaks Nursing Center. Ben was born on February 17, 1964 in Flint, the son of Herman and Mayme (Salmi) Leese, and graduated from Huron Valley Lakeland High School with the class of 1982. He earned his Associate's degree from West Shore Community College in 1984, before graduating from Michigan Technological University with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering in 1987. He most recently worked as an Electrical Engineer for Mark One in Gaylord, and Air Way Automation in Grayling.
Ben loved being outdoors enjoying nature. Whether he was hunting, fly-fishing, back-packing, or gardening, he often took pictures of the activity or scenery, then displayed his artistic talent of painting by recreating the scene on canvas. He also loved woodworking as well.
Ben will be lovingly remembered by his parents Herman and Mayme Leese of Freesoil, his brother John and Sheila Leese of Scottville, his beloved nieces Casey, Jacki, and Abigail Leese, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
No services are planned for Ben at this time. Those who would like to make contributions in his memory are asked to consider Michigan Tech University.
